Westgate Chapel, Chantilly, Virginia, Bible-Teaching

About Us

Westgate Chapel began in the late 1990s as a small Bible Study group in Brett and Leigh Anne Monk's living room. Brett was sent as a church planter from Pohick Bay Church in Lorton, Virginia, in 2001. The church grew and moved to its current facility in Chantilly, Virginia.

In October of 2008, Richard & Terry Miller started teaching a Bible study in the Centreville Library on Thursday evenings, where they met Brett and Leigh Anne for the first time. Due to circumstances, the Chantilly Bible Study moved its meetings to Westgate Chapel in February of 2009. From that point, the ministries of Westgate Chapel and Chantilly Bible Study merged.

Richard officially became Associate Pastor at Westgate Chapel in May of 2010 and became Pastor in January 2011. After serving as Pastor for 10 years, Brett resigned as pastor in January 2011 and as an elder in May of 2011. Currently, he writes, travels, and co-owns several small businesses and investment properties.
