Who We Are

Westgate Chapel is a Bible-believing, Spirit-filled, non-denominational church that meets in Chantilly, Virginia.

Our Bible teaching is thorough and in-depth with a simple and practical application to everyday life. Contemporary worship music is used in our worship services and we seek a fresh, spontaneous flow of the gifts of the Spirit.

We believe that the vision and mission of Westgate Chapel is dictated by the Biblical mandate found in:

2 Corinthians 5:9–11
9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men...

We believe that every aspect of our life is to be governed by the Word of God in preparation for that one moment when we receive God's eternal verdict upon our lives. All of life is to be lived with that one goal and one moment in focus. That is one moment we can never take back or “do-over”.

Obedience to God's Word produces a confidence and a longing for that moment. Disobedience, or sin, produces a dread and terror.

Simultaneously, we believe it is our vision and mission to “persuade men”, both the saved and the unsaved, to be ready for that moment of judgment. Scripture clearly instructs us to encourage one another on a daily basis to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. Therefore, at WGC, we strive to build close-knit relationships of care and support.

We have chosen the "old paths" of preaching Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Whatever the need, the answer is found in Jesus, His death on Calvary's cross and His triumphant resurrection from the dead.

1 Corinthians 2:2
"For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified."

Therefore we make every effort to preach and rightly divide the Word of God in season and out, without apology and without compromise. We do not promote any man, human methods or worldly wisdom. We don't follow the latest trends, gimmicks or fads. We fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.

1 Corinthians 2:4
"And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power."

Come join us at WGC as we experience the wonders of His presence and grace. Get to know us online and listen to some of our services.
